It's a boy!

It has been way too long! We have found out that we are having a boy. His name will be Landon Brooks Brittain. We are so excited! Mimi , Avery, and I are in TN to surprise our family for Christmas. Here are some pictures form our breakfast with Santa last Saturday. I am going to try and keep you guys up to date with what is going on. I am also going to post a picture of me at 19 weeks and 3 days prego.

Well...

Ok, so I have officially realized that I am horrible at this whole posting thing. I am apparently spending way too much time on Facebook.. I signed up this week, and now I know how addictive it is. I went to the Dr. on Wednesday. NO weight gained, which is good, and baby's heartbeat is 158 beats/minute. I am getting excited. I have been laying really still at night to see if I can identify any little moves, no such luck. We find out the sex of the baby on Dec. 3rd. We are so excited that we don't care what it is, as long as it is healthy.
I am so excited about going to a weekend away scrap booking retreat! Ashley is coming up to go with me, and we are going to do nothing, but scrapbook all weekend!! Yeehaw! We have been watching football all day, as we do every Saturday. Alabama barely won against LSU! It was a little too close for comfort. I had a rough week at work, but I guess that is part of it. Please pray that our economy takes a turn for the better, and the mortgage business bounces back real soon. We need the help. Have a great week! I will try to do better with posting.

Trip to Mimi's

Last weekend we went to Mimi's from Friday through Wednesday. Boy was it nice. My sister and my nephew were there with us from Monday until we left. We had so much fun. I will finally post some pictures from our trip. Other than that, everything is going good. We are all hanging out at home today watching football. Some days you jsut need to do this. We haven't been home all weekend since the beginning of the football season. I made some white chicken chili. Yummy. Not a whole lot to report. I go back to the Dr. The first week of Nov., and find out what we are having during the first week of Dec. YAY! I have been looking at bedding,a nd it gets me so excited. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Mimi is in town!

I am so excited! Mom came to town today. She is in town to work, and came in early to hang with the Brittain's. I stayed home with Avery today, b/c she has an ear infection. She's ok though. Tomorrow is the big day for our 10.5 week doctor's appointment. We are going to have another ultrasound to see how many little ones are in my belly. God help us!
Avery went to Timothy's birthday party at Pump It Up. I was very proud of her. Last time should would not even think about jumping. She fully participated today. She got a busted lip that hurt pretty bad, but she was ok. It was fun and good for her to play with the kids. Funny story, when we got home I accidentally knocked a bowl of beans out of the refrigerator, which landed all over the floor. Avery looked up and said, "It's ok mommy, it was an accident" It was so funny, b/c she was so serious. She then followed up by telling me I am a great mommy! SO sweet!
Last Saturday we went to Tuscaloosa for the game. We had so much fun! Thanks to uncle Blake for having us over. I really am going to post some pictures soon. Jeremy has my camera at work, and hasn't brought it home yet. I will post again tomorrow after the doctor's appointment.

Sweetest things!

Avery is absolutely the funniest kid in America. I am sure most of you know this. She is all the time saying HILARIOUS stuff. The sweetest thing she has said was yesterday after I picked her up from school. The conversation went like this:
Avery:"Mommy, do we have God in our Heart?"
Me:"Of course we have God in our heart?"
Avery:"Do you have God in your heart?"
Me:"Yes, and I like it when he is there. He takes care of things."
Avery:"He would have to be REAL small to be in our hearts!"
I laughed inside, but I melted on the outside and just said that's right honey. It is amazing what their little minds come up with. The other day Nana told her that when the baby gets here, she is going to be the baby's Nana too. Avery dropped her head, stuck her bottom lip out, and said "yea, I am gonna have to share!" I mean she is hilarious! I am going to pick her up in a little while. Can't wait to hear what she has to say today.

BABYPALOOZA!

I am so excited! I am working subdivision duty, and then going with Alma to Babypalooza. It is a free event at Brookwood. They are giving away lots of free stuff!! Apparently they are giving away a whole nursery. I will keep you guys posted. Other than that we are working to death. Jeremy and I are going to dinner with some couples from our small group. They are so sweet to let the pregnant girl pick. So I picked Konomi Japanese Steakhouse. YUMMY!
You know it never seems to amaze me what people say to you. So I am going to share a story with you. Lady says "So how many weeks are you?" I said 7. She said WOW! You sure are showing fast, I mean a lot. Do twins run in your family? I think there might be twins in there. I said no, I was on Clomid, so there might be, but the Doctor says it is 1. I say, "you always show faster with the 2nd one." She says, "Well, not that fast, you are REALLY showing"
Did I or did I not give her an opportunity to shut it. I am like come on people. Keep your thoughts to yourself. GEEZ! This is just the latest run in with a situation like this, and it has really struck me the wrong way. I am off to Babypalooza

We went to the doctor today for our first visit. The baby looks good. My OFFICIAL due date is May 4th. We are so excited. I have to go back in 4 weeks to have another ultrasound. We got a printout of the baby. So Little! It is truly amazing that you can see and hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks. Jeremy and I thought we saw the eyes on the ultrasound. The u/s tech informed us that that was the sac. We died laughing, and she did too!
We went to TN for my cousin Jenny's wedding last weekend. We had a blast. Mimi, Sissy, Uncle Jared, and Gavin were all there. We went to my cousin Randy's house for a cookout with the Emison's on Saturday. It is always good to see everybody. The wedding was beautiful!! We got to sing Rocky Top at the reception. It was fabulous! Not so sure Jeremy enjoyed it, but we did. I took pictures surprisingly, and I will post them later.
Work has been SO crazy. I feel like we have not stopped this week. Bedtime at 9, means we are tired. Makes for job security. Looking forward to another busy weekend.

The beach!

We finally made it to the beach. Avery and I are hanging out at mom's house for the weekend. This afternoon we are going to Zoo World. We are excited about seeing the giraffe. We have wanted to go for years, but now Avery is old enough to appreciate it. I think Bubba (Shannon) is even going to go. I will post pics when I get home.
The reality has finally sunk in that I am pregnant. What an exciting time? I am so fortunate to be blessed with the opportunity to be a mom again. I just sit back and thank God for such a great opportunity!

I'm officially pregnant!

OMG!! I am finally pregnant! I can hardly believe it. I am SOOOOO excited. We have tried for so long! If this doesn't prove that when you put your trust in God that great things will happen, then I don't know what does. This is a total testimony as to what God can do, if you just ask him to help. He is standing there waiting to help us. We have to reach out for him, and ask him to come in. Please continue to pray for us that we will have a healthy 9 months, and a healthy pregnancy. I look forward to sharing with you through this process.

So here is the deal! I am going to the doctor at 9 in the morning to see if we have a positive test reading. Please pray that we do. I am so scared! I know I am truly blessed already regardless of the outcome! I seem to be very distracted at work since all of this came about! I will try ot work on that.

We went to hang out with Papa and Jana last weekend at their new house. Then on Sunday went to Nana's for her birthday. We cooked out, and Juju's and Adam came over with their new dog Doc. Avery loved him. She loves all dogs. We need to get her one soon. Agreeing on what kind is the hard part. Here is a picture of Avery and Papa's dog Maggie. They laid down to watch a movie together.

Avery's last day at Trussville First United Methodist is tomorrow. They are having a going away party for her. I am so sad. I love all of those girls so much. Wish me luck tomorrow!

Nothing to do!

So work is slow this month, and there isn't a whole lot to do. I spent 4 hours today trying to figure out how to change my background on this crazy blog. I know once I find out, I will feel crazy.

Avery and I had Monday night to ourselves. Jeremy came home from TN last night, and was so excited to see us. He missed us bad! It is good to have that feeling when you come home.

Beginning of Baby Brittain

Today is day 24. I found out yesterday that I could actually be pregnant. Today I talked to my doctor and she wants me to wait until next week to find out. The suspense is killing me. It seems to be all I can think about.
On a lighter note, we have decided not to sell our house until the first of next year. I am so excited that we do not have to clean every morning in case our house is shown. YIPPEE!!! Thank the Lord for the opportunity to have a baby! It is amazing what will happen if you trust in the Lord! God is good!
